Casarena is dedicated
to celebrate the rich tradition
of agrelo & perdriel districts
in Lujan de Cuyo region.
Reaching almost 300 hectares, (with 160 planted at the moment) CASARENA has four different vineyards, located in Agrelo & Perdriel districts in Luján de Cuyo region, at approximately 3,100’ (950 meters) above sea level.
district is located right next to the Mendoza River. Over the millennia, the river has left a light rocky - silty soil with abundant surface stones. These unique soil characteristics produce racy Malbecs with a red fruit profile, lifted aromatics and stony minerality.
district is just to the south of Perdriel, and farther from the river. Alluvial clay soils are evident throughout the appellation, producing darker Malbecs with a black fruit profile, full bodied concentration and deep structure.
